Established in 1989, we’re a not-for-profit organisation in north-east Victoria that supports people who are disadvantaged through poverty, homelessness, family breakdown, social isolation, family violence, mental ill health and drug and alcohol addiction.
You can help homeless young mums and babies
We were proud to be among the recipients at the Border Trust’s record-breaking “Big Give” event at which charities and community groups received more than $290,000.
We received $2340 from the Albury Wodonga White Ribbon Committee for specialist training to support sexual assault survivors. We also received a $2000 2AY Community Grant to help refurbish the Young Mums Unit.
Our Young Mums Unit is a safe place in the Wodonga area where we support pregnant women and new mothers between the ages of 15 and 25 who have been homeless, are at risk of homelessness or are in need of intensive support. We provide a positive environment and work with the young parents on parenting skills, life skills and help them take steps towards independent living.
Thank you Border Trust and 2AY 1494 for these grants that will help change lives.
